After years of searching for the perfect opensource ecommerce software, we narrowed our choices down to two: OpenCart and Magento. Our servers have been tweaked for maximum performance for the resource-hungry Magento and you’re most welcome to host your Magento site on our servers. However, our preferred ecommerce software is OpenCart and we have developed a number of these since the stable version 1.4.1 was released in early January 2010.

Both Magento and OpenCart have search-engine friendly urls and meta tags out of the box, and unlike some servers (especially those used by resellers), our servers are able to display these urls fully. We are not a web hosting reseller. We have our own servers through our web hosting business Optimate Web Hosting. These are under our complete control and maintained 24/7 by proficient Australian administrators.
We are already seeing this search engine optimaisation in action with sites ranking well on the first page of search engines for several products within a few short months or even weeks of a new website going live.
